Fred’s Obituary
James Frederick Keeping
December 14,1951 – December 29,2024
KEEPING James Frederick “Fred” – Age 73 of Yarmouth. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, uncle, brother and Papa at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital with his family by his side. Born December 14, 1951, he was the son of the late Henry and Lorraine (Smith) Keeping.
Fred is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary (Robicheau) and his first wife, Doreen Fells which they remained friends; sons, Terry of Alberta; Michael (Charlene) of Alberta; Freddie (Shelley) of Ontario; Jeremy (Victoria) of New Brunswick; Jessie (Candance) of Alberta, who he loved just like a son; daughters, Shelly of Alberta; Angela (Steve) of Yarmouth; sister, Ann (Mark), Fred always said Mark was the brother he never had; grand children, Eric, Ashley, Dominic, Julia, Autumn, Trista, Jordan, Reshaya, Madison or as Fred would say Madiskyn and Rosalie; 5 great grand children. He also leaves behind his best friend, Gary Surette.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by a sister, Carol and a brother, Eric in infancy.
Fred was also known as Uncle Snuffer to his nieces and nephews. He has two very very special nephews that he could call at any given time and they would be there to help. A special thank you to Donovan (Ducky) and Nicholas.
Fred sure loved his music; he played in many bands. He had a voice, always singing. He was a fisherman all his life. When he wasn’t on the water he was building or fixing Something for a friend. He was a Jack of many trades. Fred always had a joke to tell in many of his voices. He could always make you laugh. He loved camping with his family. He sure could draw pictures, he has pictures all around Ontario, Alberta, New Brunswick and Yarmouth. He was an amazing cook, ask anyone who has tried his food.
