Obituary of Tappy MacMillan
Peacefully at the Dr. John Gillis Lodge, Belfast PEI on Monday, January 30, 2023 the death occurred of Frances “Tappy” MacMillan (MacDonald), in her 86th year.
Beloved wife of Stanley MacMillan for 65 years. Loving mother of Bruce (Linda), Clark (Della), Michele McKenna (Clifford) and Paul (Joyce). Cherished grandmother of Kyle (Lindsey), Mitchell (Stephanie), Bradley (Katie), Nicole (Mark), Lyle (Breanne), Shelby, Hailey (Daniel) and Connor. Great-grandmother of Caden, Brennan, Ally, Daniel, and Julia. Tappy will be missed by her sister Shirley McLeod; brothers-in-law Alan MacMillan, Monty MacMillan, Ernie Dollar; sisters-in-law Janet Eva, Marie Wood, Joan Dollar and many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. Predeceased by her parents Frank and Blanche (West) MacDonald, parents-in-law Arthur and Maddie MacMillan, sisters Joyce Deacon (Walter), Marion Ross (Alex), Carol Fraser and sisters and brothers-in-law Clifford McLeod, Eileen Morrison (Lloyd), Eva Dollar and Doug MacMillan.
Tappy will always be remembered for her beautiful flower gardens, her home cooked meals, her gentle and loving spirit and immense love she had for her husband, her family, and her friends. Thanks to the Gillis Lodge and staff for the excellent care she received.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home from where visiting hours will be held Thursday, February 2 from 4-6pm. A funeral service will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 am from the St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Belfast PEI. Interment will take place at the church cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made online to Alzheimer’s Society or the Belfast Cemetery.
