It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shirley Ann Thomas (Cain) on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Shirley was surrounded by family when she passed, as she left on her terms. Shirley was born in St. Stephen, NB on July 22, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Edith (Scott) Thomas.
She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Shelly Guitard, Julia (Chris) Nason and Angela (Wayne) Duplisea; son Jason Cain (Cindy Woodman); chosen daughter Pam Lewis; sisters, Rose Nicholson and Joan (Blair) Chisholm. Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Shirley is predeceased by her brothers Allen Thomas, Phillip Thomas and sister Carol Durepos; brother-in-law James Nicholson
There will be no visitation or funeral. A celebration of Shirley’s life will be held at a later date.
Donations in memory of Shirley made to Fredericton Hospice, your local food bank or your local school breakfast program would be greatly appreciated.
