We are overwhelmed with sadness as we announce the passing of our favourite son, Micky Geller. As a member of the Junior National Waterski Team, he was proud to not only compete, but also earn medals for team Canada. Micky was ranked 6th in the world in U21 Jump and loved nothing more than flying off the ramp. He spent his younger years in gymnastics and then moved on to rock climbing and waterskiing. In his free time Micky enjoyed the company of close friends, motorcycling, snowmobiling, having deep conversations and debates and just chillin’.
With his full throttle approach to life, Micky experienced more in his 18 years than many ever will. However, he was just cracking the surface of the possibilities that lay ahead.
There are so many people who truly loved Micky simply because he loved so generously. Our boy will be remembered for his empathy, passion, strength, fearlessness, drive, discipline and limitless potential.
Micky is survived by his parents Bobbiann and Mitch, sister Chloe, grandparents Mary Ann and Bob Cormack, Bob and Lynn Macpherson, Larry Geller and the late Nancy Geller, dogs Sandy and Daisy, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and teammates whom he loved dearly.
A funeral service will be held for Micky on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 1pm at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry 150 Woodroffe Avenue, (at Richmond Road), Ottawa. Interment to follow at Highland Park Cemetery 2037 McGee Side Road, Carp. A reception will take place in the reception centre following the interment at 4pm.
For those who wish to participate remotely, the Funeral Service will be LiveStreamed and can be viewed by using the following link:

As a mother I cannot comprehend the void and pain and mourning your family is suffering. I am lifting you all up to Our Lord in earnest prayers. My son was in the ULL Kinesiology program a few years ago and I saw this posting asking for prayers. May you find strength, hope and peace as you navigate through life.

I went to middle school with Micky at All Saints, my best friend had the biggest crush on him back then. He was a funny, good hearted guy. Passing on my condolences, I wish the best for you and your family. May he rest in peace, he’s in a better place ❤️
Hi Mitch and family:
I was sad to hear of your loss. My thoughts are with you.

I’m so sorry you are enduring the most unimaginable pain. I pray for the Peace of God that passes all understanding. We don’t understand why such a young man would leave the world in such a sad way. Only God can help us through the pain. God be with you❤️????
I am saddened that his life was cut short at such a young age. Since I am an atheist and believe there is no afterlife, I know that you have only one to live.

Dear Members of the Geller Family:
Although I did not know your beloved one, the memoriam posted about him indicates that he was a fine and admirable young man. I grieve for your loss, which undoubtedly also is a loss to the world. We all are deprived of the future good that he would have accomplished. I pray that the Lord grant him eternal rest and that Perpetual Light shine upon him. May He also grant you the peace of His enduring love in this time of pain and loss. ???? ❤️
