Margaret’s Obituary
Margaret Rose Elizabeth McCracken was born-the second child-to her parents James V. McCracken and Pauline U. McCracken. She was born in North Star, Alberta on March 5, 1941.
After high school in Manning, Margaret moved to Edmonton to become a lab and x-ray technician. After she completed her training, she returned to Manning and worked in the hospital here. She then completed her Business Administration course, taking accounting and completed a museum management course. Then, she took a culinary arts course at Fairview College. A highly educated woman to be sure! (She also was very proud of ID card from The International Private Investigation Institute and proudly showed everyone she met.)
One of Margaret’s greatest joys was her family – especially her nieces and nephews. They seldom left the house without her trying to sneak money into their pockets – they learned to sneak the money back into her china cabinet, when her back was turned. Margaret owned a beautiful set of Royal Albert China and she often served these fabulous meals on that china.
Sadly on December 28, 2022, Margaret left this world.
She was predeceased by her parents, James and Pauline McCracken; her older sister Dolores Brennan; her younger brother Charlie (Chub) McCracken; Sister in law Marilyn McKracken; her nieces Shelly Brennan and Terri Exner; her nephews Drayton Brennan, Jeremy Brennan and Nolan Brennan.
She leaves behind, her brother Joe McCracken; Her sister Patricia (Rod) Mabley and family; her sister-in-law Judi McCracken and family; brother-in-law Frank Brennan and family; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, who all loved their auntie.
