James “Jim” Francis Collins, of Hanover, passed away peacefully at Hanover and District Hospital on Saturday, September 16, 2023. He was 82.
Born in Hanover on January 26, 1941 to the late Francis and Ruby (nee Johnson) Collins. Jim was employed with Desco as the sales and counter associate. He was a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Hanover. Jim and Beth recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary and were just as in love as they were the day they married.
Survived by his loving wife Elizabeth “Beth” (nee Robertson) of Hanover and twins Scot (Sandra) Collins of Stoney Creek and Susan (Tim) Casler of Princeton. Loved grandfather of Tyler (Rachel). Fondly remembered by his sister Jean (Bob) Schlorff of Hanover as well as nieces and nephews.
To honour his wishes, cremation has taken place and inurnment in Hanover Cemetery will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations to the Parkinson Society or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
