Irmgard Elisabeth Zimmermann, of RR#1 Elmwood, passed away peacefully at SBGHC-Walkerton on Friday, September 22, 2023. She was 85.
Born in Zurich Switzerland on January 7, 1938 to the late Walter and Rosa (nee Rothacher) Renggli. Better known as Elisabeth, she and her late husband Adolf owned and operated a Restaurant in Switzerland for many years.
They emigrated from Switzerland in 2000 and enjoyed their Retirement on the Farm in Elmwood. She had a love for all animals and especially enjoyed her dog and cats.
Survived by daughter Beatrice (Emil) Raschle of Elmwood. Special Grosi of Michael (Brandice) Raschle of Hanover, Kilian Raschle of Zurich and Ryan Raschle of Hanover. Treasured great Grosi of Easton, Colby and Hailey. Fondly remembered by her sister Greta Oberhaensli of Switzerland. Predeceased by her parents, dear husband Adolf and by her brother Hansruedi Renggli.
To honour her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at Lamlash Hall,Concession 6, Elmwood (Greyroad 3) on Friday September 29 at 2pm-7pm.
Memorial donations to Carroll’s Animal Sanctuary and Rescue (carrollsasr.com/Help-out/#Donate) would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
