DICK, Donald Peter “Don”
Peacefully entered into rest at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre with his family by his side, on Monday, May 29, 2023, Don Dick of Cherry Valley, formerly of Ajax died at the age of 76. Don was born in St. Catharines, Ontario on February 19, 1947 to Jack & Mary Dick (nee Dyck). He attended school and graduated grade 12 from the Collegiate. He continued his education at George Brown College, Toronto. Don was married to Janet (nee Derksen) on September 12, 1970, and they have been married for 52 years. After graduation, Don worked for Bulova Watch Company. After retirement, Don & Janet moved to Quinte Isle Park in June 2018. Don loved playing and watching sports, reading and traveling. He also enjoyed music and roller skating, but more than anything else, he loved his heavenly Father, his wife, his daughter Denise (Brent), his son Gregory, and his grandchildren: Liam, Owen and Bailey. Don is survived by his brothers Ed (Rene), David (Patricia) and his nieces and nephews: Dean (Sheri), Tammy (Randy), Phillip, Julie and the late Christopher and their families and he will be fondly remembered by his aunts and cousins.
Mr. Dick rested at Rushnell Funeral Homes – Picton Chapel, 33 Main Street (613-476-2450). Cremation has taken place and A Celebration of Don’s Life will be held in the Chapel on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at 1 p.m. with visitation from 11 am until time of service.
