Egbert “Eggie” Gorman Obituary
Surrounded by his family and friends, it is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Egbert Gorman (Oct 27, 1960 – May 13, 2024) better known to most as ‘Eggie’, after a courageous and short battle with leukemia.
Predeceased by his parents Hilda and George, brothers Johnny and Douglas; sister, Susanne and father in law Sam Gosse.
Leaving to mourn with cherished memories and heavy hearts his life partner and whole world, Wanda, children Sharon Leigh, Jacinda and Jessica, Justin (Katie), Jordan (Dennise) and grandchildren Zander, Nevaeh and Riley. Siblings Lillian, Bill (Glenys), Hilda (Don), Georgina, Philip, David (Marie), Randy (Jeannette), mother in law Betty Gosse and in laws Jason (Julie) and ‘best buddy’ Paul Stamp along with a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
With a heart bigger than he could handle, Eggie made an impression anywhere he went. Whether it was to crack a joke or have a chat on a job site he was always ready with a charming smile and a witty comment. He loved to laugh and make others laugh. His memory will live on in the conversations with all that had the pleasure of knowing him.
The family would like to express our sincere thanks to all doctors, nurses and staff at the Dr. Leonard A Miller Center for taking such good care of Egbert during his final days. Cremation has taken place as per his request and burial to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the SPCA in his memory.
