Alice Critch Obituary
Passed peacefully away in the presence of loved ones, Alice Critch, age 98, just a few days shy of her 99th birthday, at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on June 8th, 2024.
Alice was a long-time soldier of the Salvation Army. She sang with the songsters in Grand Bank and later; while living in Hant’s Harbour, she became a very active member of the corps there, particularly with the League of Mercy. She was a lifelong person of faith as evidenced by her deep love of all things spiritual – The Bible, gospel singing and prayer.
Predeceased by her husbands, Elias Critch (Hant’s Hr.) and Jack Hatcher (Grand Bank) and sister Elizabeth (Bessie) Williams (Grand Bank).
Leaving to mourn many nieces, nephews, friends and her extended “Glenbrook Lodge” family.
The family would like to thank the current and previous staff of Glenbrook Lodge for their care, support and kindness extended to Aunt Alice over the years.
Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home 328 Hamilton Avenue on Monday, June 10th from 12:30pm – 2:30pm with Service to follow at 3pm in Barrett’s Chapel, Interment will take place at The Salvation Army Cemetery on Blackmarsh Road.
