Wanda Lorraine Blake Obituary
Passed away on January 13, 2024, peacefully, after a lengthy illness due to brain cancer, Wanda Lorraine Blake at the Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Center. She was 58 years of age.
Wanda was treated like a queen by her husband Rocky. Those who were fortunate enough to know Wanda knew she was beautiful inside and out. She loved her family, the outdoors, hunting, cooking and baking. She loved to entertain family and friends. Wanda was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother always going above and beyond for not only family but for anyone. She was an angel on earth, a selfless person to anyone who knew her. Wanda in her early years was a stay at home mom and housewife. Once the children were older she went onto being a PSW where she worked in Newfoundland and Alberta. She loved her job and her coworkers.
Predeceased by her father Thomas Seymore; parents-in-law Ebeneezer and Bertha Blake; brothers Eric and Johnny Seymore; sisters-in-law Myrtle Blake and Naomi Blake; nephews Harvey Sheppard and Matthew Seymore.
Left to mourn are her husband Rockwood; son Timothy (Buffy); daughters Wanda-Lee (Kevin), Kerri-Lynn (Mike); mother June (Sidney); grandchildren Cody, Patrick, Noah, Kyle, Jake, Aden and Ally; brothers Bramwell (Mary), Darren (Denise), Aubrey (Monoja); sisters Elsie (Clifford), Betty (Aubrey), Tammy (Sidney), Audrey (Edward); sister-in-law Deana; brothers-in-law Ronald, Isreal, Wilbert, Calvin, Prescott, Neil (Barbara), Riley; sisters-in-law, Stella (Roland), Isabelle (Hedley), Ina, Rowena and many nieces and nephews. Wanda also leaves to mourn many family and friends.
She will be missed by all.
As per her request, cremation has taken place with a celebration of her life to follow during the summer.
