Teresa Gabrielli Obituary
Passed away peacefully at the Woodstock Hospital on Sunday, July 21st, 2024, in her 88th year. Born in Guiliano di Roma, Italy and predeceased by her parents, Lorenzo and Vincenza Felici. Beloved wife of the late Leonardo Gabrielli (2017).
Loving mother of Tony (Eleanor) Gabrielli and Mirella (Dan) Hopper. Proud Nonna to Elise (Martin) Schroder, Olivia (Frank) Commisso, Nicole (David) Cook, and Matthew Hopper, and Great-Nonna to Annabella and Elizabeth Cook and Leonard Schroder.
Dear sister to Piera Vozzolo and Erminia Mondiali and sister-in-law to Maria Decesaris and Philipo D’annibale. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Teresa is predeceased by her sisters, Pina Maura and Maria Mondiali and her brother Salvatore Felici. Also predeceased by her brothers-in-law: Batista Maura, Loreto Mondiali, Peppe Mondiali, Pietro Decesaris, and Enzo Vozzolo, her sister-in-law Angelina D’annibale and nephews Franco and Peppino Decesaris.
Teresa was a dedicated employee of Harvey Woods in Woodstock for nearly 30 years. She will be fondly remembered by all who knew her, for her nurturing ways and endless love for her family. Teresa sewed countless quilts, dresses and sweaters for her growing family, she meticulously tended to her garden and found great joy in preparing an abundance of Italian cuisine, bringing loved ones together to share laughter and find comfort.
Friends and relatives will be received at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, on Thursday July 25 from 6-8pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 26th at 11am at Holy Trinity Parish, 1420 Devonshire Ave, with committal to follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Reception at the church fellowship hall will take place after the committal service. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
