Obituary of Ian Andrew Thomas McIntosh
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Ian McIntosh at home on October 9, 2023 in his 75th year. Cherished husband of 50 years to Carol (nee. Downey). Beloved father of Andrew (Charlene), Erin (Mike) and Peter (Katie). Treasured grandfather of Angela, Freya, Finn and Maeve. Survived by brother James (Rhonda), Anne McKinley and Jane McCarron (John). Loved brother-in-law of Patricia, Rosemary, Kit and Bob and Lynda.
Ian was a kind and friendly man whose memory will forever be cherished. He was a man of strong faith, who loved to sing in the choir, and was active in his church and the Knights of Columbus. Visitation will be held at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Monday, October 16, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Vigil prayers at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, 934 Highway 8, Stoney Creek, at 11 a.m. Inurnment to follow at Mountview Gardens Cemetery.
The family kindly requests any donations be made to the Immaculate Heart of Mary building fund or the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada in Ian’s name. Notes of sympathy and condolence may be left at www.donaldvbrown.ca
