Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Bluewater Health, James “Jim” Robert Whalen passed away at the age of 65. Beloved son of Robert and the late Thora Whalen. Loving brother of Cynthia (Ross) Leitch, and Nickolas Whalen (Marie Edouazian). Jim will be missed by his nieces, nephews and friends.
Jim was a proud Ironworker for Local 700. He had a big heart, and would always help a friend in need. Jim enjoyed going out and playing a game of pool with his friends, and loved to sail and ride his motorbike. The family wishes to thank the staff of Bluewater Health Palliative Care for their care of Jim. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at Rack N’ Roll Billiards, 460 Christina St N, Sarnia, ON, on Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
