It is with heavy hearts we announce the loss of our dearest Percy who passed away peacefully at his home in Hamilton, on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at the age of 71. Reunited with his loving wife, Jean Clara Blakely, whom he had been lovingly married to for many long and happy years before her passing in 2005. Cherished father to Dawn-Marie Butler of Edmonton and Lisa (Robert) Vaughan of Hamilton. Proud grandfather to Quentin, Kody, Keirsten, Jordan, Deejay, Arron and great-grandfather to Luna. Always remembered by his sister Myrtle (the late Dave). Forever in the hearts of his extended family and friends across Canada. Predeceased by his parents George and Florence Blakely as well as his two brothers and two sisters. Percy may be gone from this world; however, he lives on in the stories and memories he has left with all those he touched during his lifetime. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Friday October 6, 2023 from 12-1p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday October 6, 2023 at 1p.m. As per Percy’s wishes, and that of his family a private cremation will be taking place. If desired, in lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
