Boutcher, Raymond “Ray”
Passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Hospice Waterloo Region on Friday, June 28th, 2024 at the age of 95.
Beloved husband of Ruth Boutcher (2022) for over 55 years. Loving Dad of Jason Boutcher (Carrie) of Waterloo ON and Cassandra Carr (Shawn) of Banff AB. Proud “Grandpa” of Sarah (Dylan), Eric, Madison, Ben and Breanne. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and their families.
Ray began his career as a Leading Signalman in the Canadian Navy and retired from Ford Motor Company where he worked as a Scheduling Manager.
Active to the end, Ruth and Ray enjoyed golfing and traveling with their many friends. Reading, fishing, the outdoors and all things containing chocolate were other lifelong passions of Ray.
Special thanks to the staff at Grand River Hospital and Hospice Waterloo Region for their loving and compassionate care.
Cremation arrangements entrusted to the Henry Walser Funeral Home (519) 749-8467. Per his wishes, a private ceremony will be held with family.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Hospice Waterloo Region would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
