Maria died peacefully at the home she created with her husband of 61 years, Yorgos, and where she raised her four children, Yannis (Manon), Galatea, Antiope (Simon) and Thalassa.
Maria was happiest when she was surrounded by her family and friends, and spending time with her grandchildren, Marin, Galini and Orfeas, whom she adored.
An accomplished artist, Maria created a home of light, music, art and beauty. She sought the human and the humane in the people she met, cared about them, befriended them and made their lives better with the simplest of kind words or an open gesture. She was deeply loved and loved deeply.
