Obituary of Rory O’Kane
O’KANE: Suddenly and unexpectedly, at his residence, on Friday, September 29, 2023 Gregory “Rory” James O’Kane of Grand Bend formerly of Waterloo, age 58. Forever loved son of Patrick “Paddy” and the late Maura (Kane) (2007) O’Kane of Bayfield. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Colette and Scott Schneider, Stephen and Lisa O’Kane all of Kitchener, Kristine Bauman of Waterloo. He will be sorely missed by his nieces and nephews and many aunts, uncles, cousins and their families in Ireland, England and Holland, as well as extended family in Canada. Predeceased by his infant niece Courtney Lauren Bauman. At his family’s request, cremation has taken place. Local arrangements entrusted to the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood. A Celebration of Rory’s Life will be held at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, Kitchener date and time to be announced. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
