Beresford – William “Bill” R. Jamieson, 68, of Beresford, spouse of the late Sheila Peters, passed away at the Saint John Regional hospital on October 6, 2023.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late George King Jamieson and Sadie Rebecca (Smith) Jamieson.
Bill was a long-time employee of Smurfit Stone Consolidated (Bathurst Paper Mill) and was also employed as a Security Guard at the Caribou Mines until retirement.
He is survived by two children, his step-daughter Christina Gauvin (Martin) of Shediac River and his daughter Jamie-Lynn Peters of Bathurst. Two grand-children, Sandrine and Madeleine. His sister Linda Wiseman of Beresford and a brother Kingsley Jamieson (Iris) of Hamilton ON. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, Matthew, Kyle, Emily, Katrina, and Ethan.
In addition to his parents and spouse, he was predeceased by his nephew Trevor Wiseman.
There will be no visitation or funeral services.
Donations in memory of Bill can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or an organization of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
