JENKEN, Wayne Frederick
Passed away peacefully, on Friday, March 25, 2022, at Nithview Community, New Hamburg. Wayne was born 72 years ago, in Niagara Falls, Ontario, a son of the late Douglas and Muriel (Higgins) Jenken.
Beloved husband of Jane (Wetselaar) Jenken, whom he married on May 28, 1977. Devoted and loving father and grandfather of; Scott and Samara Jenken and their children Jocelyn, Zoey and Heidi; Tim and Caitlin Jenken and their children Adriaan, Mariah, Lexus and Bentley; Christy Jenken; Michael and Maddi Jenken; Amy and Jeff Carlaw; and Jonathon Cressman. Wayne is survived by siblings, Lois and Howard Vokey, Bruce and Joyce Jenken and sister-in-law Linda Jenken as well as by his many nieces and nephews. Wayne is predeceased by his parents and brother Gary Jenken.
Wayne was a devoted family man. His love for family was beyond words, he and Jane were foster parents to many children over the years. He was a proud grandfather and enjoyed watching his family grow. Wayne was an avid outdoors man and enjoyed fishing and camping. His greatest passion was his motorcycle. Rain or shine he would be venturing off on a tour, not missing a Friday the 13th with his friends along the way.
Cremation has taken place and relatives and friends are invited to the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg, on Saturday, April 2, 2022, for a memorial visitation from 11:00 – 12:45 p.m. A Memorial service will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 1:00 p.m.
