Vital Vautour
1936-2022
SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB – Vital Vautour 85, of
Saint-Louis-de-Kent passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris
Hospital in Ste-Anne-de-Kent on Monday, March 21, 2022. Born
in Rexton, he was the son of the late Edmond Vautour and late Victoire
(Guimond) Vautour. Before retiring, Vital was a lifelong
fisherman.
Vital will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Marie (Babin)
Vautour of St. Louis; one daughter, Monique Vautour (Gabriel Hebert)
of Pointe-Sapin and two grandchildren, Amanda Maillet of Moncton and
Tyler Maillet of St-Joseph-de-Kent.
He is also survived by one sister, Alma Hebert (late Lionel)
of Rexton; three brothers, Emile Vautour (Alida) of Aldouane, Adelbert
Vautour, Aquila Vautour (Rose Atkins) both of Richibucto and many
nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his
father’s second wife, Dorina (King); two sisters, Alice
Vautour, Anaise Stever and three brothers, Omer, Alphonse and
Vincent.
The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the
staff at the Stella Maris Hospital, Emergency and Palliative
departments, for the excellent care provided to Vital.
Visitation will be held at Thompson Memorial Home in
Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Thursday from 7-9 pm, Friday from 9:00 am until
departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated
on Friday, March 25, 2022 at 11:00 am at the St. Louis des
Français Roman Catholic Church in St. Louis.
