Obituary of Ted Smith
SMITH, Ted peacefully at his residence surrounded by family on Friday, February 25, 2022. Charles Edward ‘Ted’ Smith of Lion’s Head at the age of 72. Beloved husband of the late Leslea Smith (nee Martindale). Cherished father of Shannon Daries of Lion’s Head and Josh Smith and his wife Brianna of Southampton. Much loved grandfather of Taylor, Paige, Morgan, Carter, Addison and Haileigh. Dear brother of Adelle Kyle of Lion’s Head, Mabel Krogh (Fleming pre) of St. Catharines, Norma Brinkman (Gail) of Lion’s Head, Betty Crow (Walter) of Alberta, Roger Smith (Marion) of Nova Scotia, Marjorie Burley (Dave) of Stokes Bay and Ron Smith (Daphne) of Alberta. Remembered by brothers-in-law Jim Martindale (Charlotte) of Lion’s Head and Kevin Martindale (Debbie) of British Columbia as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Clara (nee Hellyer) and Charles Smith.
The funeral service will be conducted from the Bethel Missionary Church, 18 Ferndale Road, Lion’s Head on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. All those wishing to attend are asked to please RSVP on the funeral home website under Ted’s service details. Masks must be worn.
Spring interment Eastnor Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, LION’S HEAD CHAPEL, Lion’s Head. Expressions of remembrance to the Bruce Peninsula Minor Hockey Association would be appreciated. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family through www.georgefuneralhome.com
