Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Suzanne Irene Ferguson at the Saint John Regional Hospital on October 11, 2022. Born in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late William “Russell” and Florence Ethel (Long) Pitt. Suzanne is survived by her common-law spouse Jackie Melanson of Saint John; her son Mark Ferguson of Saint John; her daughter Kimberly Ferguson of Haneytown; her step-sons: Shawn Melanson of BC and Matthew Melanson of Yarmouth; her step-daughter Denise Melanson of Yarmouth; her brothers: William Pitt (Susan) of Saint John, Russell Pitt (Heather) of Saint John, and Richard Pitt (Cheryl) of BC; her grandchildren: Angelica Edgett, Dalton Ferguson and Ryan Ferguson; her step-grandchildren: Mike Melanson, Logan Melanson, Christen Melanson, and Zoey Melanson; her canine companion Sammy; as well as by her extended family members and good friends. As well as by her parents, Suzanne was predeceased by her son Ryan Ferguson. Suzanne was a very loving and devoted Mom and wife. She enjoyed vintage movies and CNN, playing cribbage, and going for drives on the back roads. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (506-646-2424). Visitation will be held on Saturday October 15, 2022 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Interment will be held in St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
