Stanley Smith
Passed away peacefully on October 28th, at Matthew’s House Hospice in his 74th year, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Stan was born on May 7th, 1948 in Hodge’s Cove Newfoundland. Son of the late Ralph Smith and Patience (Stringer). He leaves to mourn his loving wife Thelma (MacDonald) Smith, cherished daughter Candice (Scott Swaile), and son Bradley Smith (Morgan Dunlop). Proud Grandpa of Zoey, Sawyer, Clarke Swaile and Fiona Smith. Dear brother to Clarice (Gerald), Marion (Llyod), Ken and sister in law, Pat. He is predeceased by his sister Doris (Howard). Stan is also remembered lovingly by his in-laws Betty (Gary), Ed (Pearle), Rose, Donna, Nancy (John), Dan (Phyllis), Mary (Bill), and Sandy (Kenny). Stan will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial service for family and friends will be held on Wednesday November 2nd, 2022 between 6:00-8:00pm at Innisfil Funeral Home, 7910 Yonge St., Innisfil (Stroud) ON. (705) 431-1717. A private family burial service will be held with interment in the Sixth Line Cemetery at a later date. In Stan’s memory, donations may be made to Matthew’s House Hospice (matthewshh.givecloud.co/donate) if desired.
