Shirley Cate Underwood – of Knoxville, a loving wife, mom and mamaw, passed away suddenly at age 74 on Friday, August 5, 2022. Shirley is a member of Paw Paw Hollow Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 53 years, Raymond Kenneth Underwood; parents, Cecil E. Cate and Martha Sue Stallings Cate Shepherd; and brother, Arnold Lee Cate.
Survived by daughter, Michelle (Jeff) Joslyn; grandson, Zachary Joslyn; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews; and many other family and friends.
The interment will be at Paw Paw Hollow Cemetery, Strawberry Plains, with Pastor Ronnie White officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital (www.stjude.org/donate).
