1950-2022
Sheila Mary Laffin – age 72, of
Canning, Nova Scotia passed away with her family by her side on
Wednesday, August 31, 2022, in the Valley Regional Hospital,
Kentville. She was born to her parents, Elsie and Neil Zwicker on
February 18, 1950, in Wolfville, Nova
Scotia.
Sheila
enjoyed listening to all types of music, especially country music,
watching old reruns of Elvis and more. Colouring and doing word
searches were her favourite things to do. She was a collector of many
things, and she loved all animals, including her cat, Charlie. Sheila
always wanted the best for everyone and loved all who were in her
life, especially her family.
Sheila is
survived by sons, Steven Sim, Black Rock; Richard Sim, Waterville;
Justin Sim, Halifax; Michael Laffin, Canning; granddaughter, Damica
Comeau-Laffin, Moncton; daughter, Catherine Laffin, Kingston;
granddaughter, Destiny Laffin and great-grandson, Charlie Oglivie,
Middleton; grandson, Tristan Laffin and great-granddaughter, Brielle,
Meadowvale; brothers, Wayne Zwicker, Aylesford and Doug (Kimberly)
Zwicker, Auburn; as well as many nieces and
nephews.
In addition
to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Curtis
Zwicker.
Cremation
has taken place. As per Sheila’s wishes, there will be no
funeral service at this time. A celebration of life will take place at
a later date.
Donations in
memory may be made to the Lung Association of Nova Scotia. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family
Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. On-line condolences
