Gunning, Scott:
Passed away on Tuesday, November 8th, 2022 at Freeport Health Center at the age of 53.
Beloved son of Diane and the late Ronald Gunning (2000) of Kitchener. Big brother of Todd (Julia) Gunning of Ottawa. Proud father of Ethan and Emma. Loving uncle of Emily and Kyra Gunning of Ottawa. Scott will be missed by all the members of his extended family across Ontario.
Scott worked for Zehr’s Markets in Kitchener for more than 3 decades, starting there in high school. Next to his children, his biggest joy was working with his Zehr’s family.
We would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the Palliative Care Unit at Freeport. It is clear that angels walk and work among us.
A celebration of Scott’s life will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2022 with memories shared at 6:30 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
