Rose-Marie Anne Waite
It is with great sadness that we are announcing the passing of Rose-Marie “Anne” Waite of Fredericton, NB, wife of Gerald “Jerry” Waite, on October 6, 2022, at Hospice Fredericton. Born on October 28, 1962, in Bathurst, NB, she was the daughter of the late Loretta (Doucet) and Albert Lavigne.
Anne is survived by her son Mitchel Waite; sisters Jackie, Marie, Rolande, Denise, Nicole, Jeanne, Carole, Arlene; brothers, Richard, Leon, Roger, Danny; and Grandson Cameron.
With the exception of her parents, she was predeceased by her granddaughter Reia.
Anne will be remembered as a kind, caring person with a smile that radiated all over and how she was so infectiously positive. No matter what life gave her, she would never let it get her down. She was someone who persisted through every battle with a smile on her face. As soon as she walked into the room you could feel the love she had, filling it to the brim. We were all better for knowing Anne, she touched every single person’s life no matter how long a person knew her.
Although Anne was fighting a great battle, she insisted no one felt bad for her, she continually made us laugh even while she was in pain, and that is a great testament to who Anne was. Anne loved life so much that she would want us to go on honoring her by sharing smiles with all and never taking anything too seriously.
Anne wants us to remember the importance of laughter and to always look for the light in hard times.
We will miss you every day, until we meet again. Love the family.
The private funeral will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton. Internment will take place in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Fredericton. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Hospice Fredericton, or the charity of their choosing. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
