Robert W Dye 19662022

Robert Wm. Dye
1966-2022
DYE, Robert William. August 15, 1966 – February 13, 2022. Age 55,
Bridgewater.
It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden death of our
wonderful brother and friend on Sunday, February 13, 2022.
Robert was born in Liverpool, grew up in Mahone Bay, and after an
adventure of living in Ontario for a decade, settled in Bridgewater.
Many in Bridgewater know Robert from his work as Sales Manager at
Mosher Motors Ford for the past 21 years. There was nothing Robert
couldn’t sell. Like his father, he was quite the wheeler-dealer
– and never wanted to pay full price for anything. Robert was
predeceased by his loving parents, Rev. William Dye and Beverley Dye,
who were so very proud of the person Robert was. Robert took his role
of being a big brother very seriously and he was very good at it! He
will be sorely missed by his surviving sister, (Allyson Dye); brother,
(Bruce Dye) and sister-in-law (Kelly Dye). Robert is also survived by
his parents’ brothers and their children, to whom he was close.
Robert loved the ocean – in particular, cruising the Caribbean
and boating on Mahone Bay. He also loved spending time with friends
– long dinners and drinks with some – quiet movie nights
with others. He also loved his adorable dog, Mira, who brought him so
much joy.
Due to Covid-19 a small Memorial Service (family only) will be held
Saturday, February 19, 2022. The service will be available for
viewing after 5pm, Saturday on the St. James Parish YouTube channel:
www.youtube.com/channel/UC-8iJn1KleaCLu1SkhuvXTw.
A public celebration of Robert’s life will be held at a later
date, as we know there are so many good friends who would like to lift
a glass in Robert’s honour and say their goodbyes.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to SHAID or Park View
Education Centre’s basketball teams.
Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mahone Funeral Home, P.O. Box
