CHRISTIE, Robert George
Passed away peacefully at Algonquin Grace Residential Hospice on Tuesday, September 13th, with his family by his side at the age of 94. Devoted husband of Hazel Christie. Loving father of Paul (Kathy) Christie, Anne Christie, and Gaye (Mark) McLennan. Grandfather of Sean (Alli) Christie, Taryn (Shannon) Gray, Kira Christie (Mitch), Connor Ives, Lucas and Zac McLennan. Great grandfather of Cadence Gray and Sawyer and Rey Christie.
Bob taught biology at Brampton High and Brampton Centennial Secondary School (1967-1986) for 30 years. Member of Kiwanis Club of Buffy’s Corners, he was secretary for many years and volunteered for many charities; MS, CNIB, and Heart & Stroke. In his later years he was the Treasurer for Knox United Church in Dorset. He spent many wonderful years enjoying his family at his residence on Paint Lake and pursuing his love of photography.
Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to the funeral service on Monday, September 19, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Billingsley Funeral Home, reception to follow. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations can be made to Knox United Church in Dorset and Hospice Huntsville.
