Robert Allen McSwain November 9 2022

McSwain, Robert Allen – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Allen McSwain, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. Bob passed away on the morning of November 2, 2022.
Bob was a loving husband for 60 years to Carol (Taylor); a wonderful father to Greg (Genn), Kevin (Sarah-Anne), Tanya (Gary) Boylan; doting grandfather to Reagan (Stephanie), Emily, Cecilia (Justin) and Meghan; and proud great-grandfather to Kinsley and Aberdeen.
Son of the late Alexander and Mary Elizabeth (Pratt) of Bible Hill, son-in-law to the late Peter and Anna (Taylor).
Predeceased by his sisters, Mona (Bell), Stella (McLeod) and Rita (Wood); his brothers, Neil, Eddy and Clyde. Survived by sister, Mary (Boomer).
Bob was loved by many nieces, nephews, close friends, sisters and brothers-in-law.
He was a long-term employee of the Department of Lands and Forests and his family took pride in the many signs he made for Provincial Parks across Nova Scotia. He was a good provider and family man. He enjoyed his home and the many friends that would come to visit and sit around the kitchen table. He liked to work with wood and in his younger years he would design and build furniture. He will be missed but never forgotten.
Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be welcomed on Thursday, November 10th, 2 – 4 p.m. at the home of Carol to celebrate and remember the life of Bob.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Bob’s name to Diabetes Canada.
