It is with great sadness we announce
Rachel R. Ripley passed away on
Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at her home in Maccan, Nova
Scotia.
Born in Unity, SK, she was a daughter of
the late William and Jennie (Ripley) Love.
Rachel was a spirited, creative, and
unforgettable personality, who proudly embraced her own unique style
and way of life. She explored a wide range of interests throughout her
life, including baking bread, playing violin, guitar, mandolin, steel
guitar, observing local wildlife, teaching gun skills and safety, and
spending time with her beloved dogs. She was also an avid reader and
writer, and wrote multiple stories and
novels.
Along with her creative passions, Rachel
was a deeply engaged member of her community. She stayed in close
contact with her family, friends, and neighbours, and enjoyed sharing
stories and memories from her youth. She was also very committed to
her faith, and generously supported outreach both at home and abroad.
Rachel was a force to be reckoned with, and will be dearly
missed.
Rachel was predeceased by her husband of
57 years, Art Ripley, siblings Robert, William, Elsie, Mary, and
Mildred.
She is survived by seven nieces and
nephews, and many friends and neighbours.
Arrangements are under the care and
guidance of the Jones Family Funeral
Centre, 70 Church Street, Amherst, NS (902-667-8777).
A public graveside service will be held in the Amherst
Cemetery on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 10:30 am.

made to the charity of your choice.
