de Graaf. Patrick Petrus
Patrick de Graaf, soulmate and husband of Deborah de Graaf, passed away suddenly at his home on August 10, 2022, he was 66. Devoted and proud father to Micheal de Graaf and Danielle Hunter (Daryl). Cherished Grampa and Papa of Ella, Casen, Madelyn and Jack de Graaf, Hannah, Gabriel, Olive, Roscoe and Willem Hunter. Predeceased by grandson Noah Hunter. Patrick’s grandchildren were his joy. They spent many hours together enjoying mule (UTV) rides, wandering through his riverside trails, spirited board games, or cuddling with books. Papa lived to share his love of the farm and the wonders that it held. He was the Grampa that was always prepared to go on new adventures, no matter what any of his little joys suggested. Loving son of Elisabeth de Graaf and the late Case de Graaf. Forever guardian angel to his sister Rosemary de Graaf (Jeff Teeple). Much loved brother in law to Dan Burr (Trish), Donna Arner (Marc), David Burr (Sherri), Deanna Hehn (Trevor), Doug Burr, Darryl Burr, Dwayne Burr (Leanne) and Denene Amini (Cyrus), predeceased by Darren Burr. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. A private family service has been held, interment to follow in the fall. I was out walking our canine friends for the first time in days since hearing the news, a pass time that was very dear to Pat. I was therefore thinking of him and looked down to see a largely hidden very old dime. I pulled it out of the grass and dirt and the only part of the date I could make out was the number 66. His age of course.
I only met Pat a few times, but he was truly wonderful to talk to. He will be very missed by many and my thoughts go out to his entire family.
