The death occurred at the Palliative Care Unit, Community
Hospital, O’Leary on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 of Melvin Elwood Betts
of Springfield West aged 81, beloved husband of Thelma (Currie) Betts.
Melvin was born in O’Leary on July 22, 1941, son of the late Lester
and Jennie (Buchanan) Betts.
Cherished dad to Kim (Henry) Ghazalian, Toronto, ON and
Darryl, Springfield West. Loving poppa to Keaton and Brayden. Dear
brother to Olga (David) Quigley, Mount Royal and Allan (Carol) Betts,
Orillia, ON.
Melvin was predeceased by his parents, sisters and brothers
in law, Leta (Emerson) Cain and Shirley (Jimmy)
Lidstone.
Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary with
visiting hours Monday 12:00 -1:45pm. Funeral to follow in the chapel
at 2pm. Interment to follow in Springfield West Baptist
Cemetery.
