It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mom, Melina Ciccarelli at 84 years of age on Monday, January 16, 2023. Predeceased by her parents Vincenzo and Pasquetta Greco. Loving Wife for 64 years to Ottavio. Devoted mother to the late John Ciccarelli, Diane Skuse (Darrell), Larry Ciccarelli (Mega), Sandy Ciccarelli (Luisa), and Linda Cullen (Gregg). Proud Nonna to Daryl Jr. (Maddison), Olivia, Daniel, Sandy Jr., Evan, Ryana, Lucas, and Myra. Loyal sister to Maria (the late Isidoro), Arnaldo (Elsa), Franco (Emilia), Emidio (Maria), Pietro (Mirella), Folco (Filomena), and Graziella (Gaetano).
Your entire life’s work has been a journey of absolute selflessness. As a daughter, sister, wife, mother and nonna you loved and gave so willingly with endless strength from one day to the next. Your generosity and fierce loyalty to your family was without limits. We will miss your boundless energy preparing exceptional food, your dedication to the most immaculate gardens, and your extraordinary master sewing skills. Above all we will miss you…everyday of our lives. We are beyond lucky to call you, our mom. The depth of our loss and sadness cannot be put into words as the English language falls short. You will remain in our hearts with complete adoration forever. Rest in peace, sweet Mom, we love you.
Visitation will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton, on Friday January 20th, 2023, from 2 p.m. till 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. till 8 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at Regina Mundi Catholic Church, 631 Mohawk Rd W, Hamilton, on Saturday January 21st at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Canadian National Institute for the Blind.
