Matthew passed away unexpectedly on November 21, 2022 at the young age of 30 years. He was born to Lorie Stuehler and Gordon Young in Regina, SK on December 13, 1991. Matthew was the first of three children. He had such a kind heart and would always put the needs of others above his own. He would drop everything to go help someone in need. Matthew was known as someone you could depend on for help. Whether it was needing his last $10 or just a place to crash, he was always there to aid you. Matthew didn’t care what time it was or what day it was, he’d be there for you whether he knew you or not.
Though he wasn’t working at the time of his passing, Matthew did lots of work as a cook in many different restaurants around Regina. He loved to cook. Matthew also spent some time doing construction jobs with friends. He would go on to spend the rest of his life helping anyone who needed it, even if they were a complete stranger.
In 2016, Matthew welcomed his first and only son to this world, whom he loved very much and tried to spend time with whenever he could.
Matthew leaves behind his only son, Cooper Perigny-Young (Samantha Perigny); father, Gordon Young; brothers, Kenny Young and Sheldon Young; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and his girlfriend, Karter Desjarlais. He was predeceased by his mother, Lorie Stuehler.
Matthew’s Funeral Celebration will be held at the Serbian Club, 2775 Avonhurst Drive, Regina, SK on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 1:00pm.
