With a Grade 9 education , she was able to achieve and accomplish so much, like her Grade 12 diploma from the GED test, a diploma in Pastoral liturgy from St. Paul University, Ottawa. Over the course of years she sponsored at least 4 children through World Vision Canada and supported many charities that were close to her heart such as Covenant House, a shelter for the young homeless. Some of the committees that she served on include; Fortune Bay East Development Association, R.C.
