Commo, Mary Elaine – Age 72. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary on December 15, 2022 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.
Mary worked as a Commercial Insurance Underwriter in Alberta until she retired and moved back to Nova Scotia. She was a Town Councillor for 8 years spending much of her elected time supporting tourism in Stewiacke. Her strong will to survive, her vision, love of Stewiacke, toughness and infectious laugh will be missed.
She was predeceased by her parents, Hugh and Bernice (Rogers) Commo; sister, Shirley; nephew, John.
Mary is survived by her son, Trevor (Eija); their children, Joshua, Harlie, Damian, and Sienna; nephews, Jamie, Jeffrey (Margaret); niece, Shelley (Colin) and their families.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative.
No funeral by request. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
Donations may be made to Shumilacke Food Bank.
