With great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Marlyn Martha (Jarvi) Sauriol,
78 years, on Saturday, December 24, 2022, at Health Sciences North.
She was loved dearly and will be forever missed by her family, husband George, daughters
Tina (Alice) Raymond (Don), Holly (Ron) and Buck (George Jr.) (Sandra).
Her Granddog Spikey will miss his hugs from Grandma.
Years ago, we gave our mother the nick-name Mertle (Mert) and bought her personalized license plates that said Mertle. She drove around proudly with those license plates for many years.
In her healthier days, she loved to bake butter tarts, shop for clothes, play darts, go on bus trips and visits to the casino.
Mert was a retiree from Kmart / Zellers and was a former member of the Water’s Women’s Institute and the Walden Lioness Club.
She was predeceased by many family members and will be lovingly remembered by the family and friends left behind.
Special thanks to her brother Albert for all of the visits. Thank-you to our neighbour Mike.
Thank-you to everyone who provided care to Mert through the years and during her short stay in the hospital. Special thanks to Nurse Brittany, 4North Tower, 4th Floor. The kindness and compassion you provided to our family will never be forgotten.
At Mert’s request, there will be no services.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
