Marie I. Colpitts
1930 – 2022
Marie Isabel Colpitts, age 91 of Riverview and formerly of Colpitts Settlement, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at the Moncton City Hospital after a short illness.
Born in Kouchibouguac, on December 22, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Firth & Edith (Randall) Carter, and wife of the late Irvin Colpitts of Colpitts Settlement. She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by three sons: Ronald Colpitts (Debbie), Robert Colpitts (late Carole-Ann), Russell Colpitts (Carol); two daughters: Helen Bannister (David) and Sharon Fournier (Al), all of Colpitts Settlement; three Brothers: Winston Carter, Charlie Carter (Thelma), and Edward Carter (Joan); two sisters: Noreen Gardner and Edna Flanagan; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Irvin Colpitts; one brother, Kenneth Carter; and three sisters: Marion Smith, Barbara Tweedie and Alice Peterson.
A funeral service will be held at the United Pentecostal Church, Kouchibouguac on Saturday, April 16, 2022, with Rev. Brent Carter officiating. Interment will be held in the Tweedie Brook Pentecostal Cemetery later in the spring.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Tweedie Brook Pentecostal Cemetery Fund would be appreciated by the family.
