With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maria Violeta Rodrigues Amaral in the Dartmouth General Hospital, on November 30th, 2022 at the age of 84. Born in St. Pedro Do Sul Portugal, Maria moved to Canada in 1974. Maria was a dedicated member of the St. Paul’s Church and along side her late husband Delfim, they were the caretakers for 28 years. Maria loved her time outside and with her family. She is survived by her sons Dino (Karen) and Rui (Lee Anne); grandchildren Sergio, Victoria, Andrew and Gabriel; her sister Victoria and brother David. Arrangements have been entrusted to Dartmouth Funeral Home, 29 Queen Street, Dartmouth. Visitation and service time to be confirmed and will be posted when finalized. The family would like to thank the dedicated and hardworking nursing staff at the Dartmouth General Hospital 5 East.
