Lori Dianne Skopyk 2022

Lori Dianne Skopyk
September 29, 1965 – September 14, 2022
It is with heavy hearts and immense sadness that we announce the passing of Lori Dianne Skopyk on September 14, 2022. Lori passed away peacefully surrounded by those who loved and adored her.
Lori was born in Borden, Saskatchewan to Gerald and Beverley Bronsch and was the youngest of 5 children. She met future husband Dan in 1981 and welcomed children Sari-Beth and Kiel in later years.
Lori made an impact on everyone who may have met, befriended, lived, or worked with her. She had a warm, kind, and playful soul and loved those around her unconditionally. She was known for her love of music, purses, flowers, cats, and her smile that could light up a room. Her favorite place was at home where she could tend to her yard, pond, cats, and family (and enjoy a beer or two with neighbors and friends).
Prior to her passing, she was able to cross one of the biggest things on her bucket list off – becoming a grandmother to Fletcher D Skopyk, who was her pride and joy. Her smile when she met him for the first time will never be forgotten.
Lori is survived by:
Her husband, Dan; daughter Sari (Jarvis), son Kiel (Hali) and grandson Fletcher who Lori often described as “just perfect” and meant the world to her
Her mother Beverley Bronsch, sisters Debbie, Brenda, Julie, and brother Marty (and extended families)
Her mother and father in-law Daniel and Martha Skopyk and brother-in-law’s Jerry, Richard, Brian (Roxanne) and sister-in-law’s Carla (Kerry), Judy (Rod) and Martina (and extended families) and niece Allison (Evan)
She was predeceased by her father, Gerald; brother Craig in infancy, sister-in-law Brenda and beloved cats Blu, Leda, Gizmo, and Girl (Smeagol). We take comfort in knowing she had loved ones waiting for her with open arms (and loud purrs).
A special thank-you to SPH Palliative Care and Cherished Memories Funeral Home for taking exceptional care of Lori during her last moments here and beyond.
A Celebration of Life will be held on October 1, 2022, at Canalta Hotel, 611 Centennial Drive S., Martensville at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to SPH Palliative Care or an animal charity of your choice.
