In loving remembrance of Leslie Anne Cooke, who passed September 20th, 2022 at home with her family by her side.
Born in Chase, BC, Leslie raised her family with husband Larry Cooke in Armstrong, BC, and enjoyed her last 2 decades in Nelson, BC.
Insightful by nature, Leslie had a gifted way of connecting with others. She loved helping people and was known for her sincere and generous customer service. She had a quiet strength but was always quick to laugh. Leslie enjoyed the company of her dear friends, and was grateful for the care, support, and love over the years.
Predeceased by mother Irene (Haner) Hysop, grandmother Marjorie (Zeal) Haner, and grandfather Charles Haner.
Survived by daughters Kim Marty (Richard), Majken Cooke (Craig), son Troy Cooke (Heather ), and six grandchildren (Alyssa, Jacob, Aaron, Cassidy, Matthew, Dayton). She was especially close to her aunt Dana Brower and lifelong friend Linda Kronbauer.
Her children would like to express their utmost gratitude and respect for all the health care workers who supported Leslie in the last 9 months, including Dr. Kirsten and the Nelson palliative care team.
At Leslie’s request, there will be no service at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. To honour Leslie, a donation can be made to the Cancer Society.
Leslie’s family has faith that the veil is thin and she will continue to guide and see them flourish.
~ Mom, we look forward to laughing with you again.~
