It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Leona Lindsay, late of Muskeg Lake, SK on March 24th, 2022, at the age of 91 years. Leona was born in Muskeg Lake, SK on March 7th, 1931, to Basil Cayen & Betsy Manitoken. Leona leaves to mourn her daughter Glenna Cayen, Muskeg Lake, SK; her sisters Evelyn Barlebenm Ottawa, ON & Cecile Bruyiere, Winnipeg, MB; her brothers Pat Cayen, Muskeg Lake, SK & Joseph Cayen, Edmonton, AB; & her special friends Dolores Kenny; Gloria Greyeyes, Josephine Kennedy, Marilyn Moyen, Leisha Worthing, Doris Gagnon, Carol Lafond, & Kim Fleury. Leona was predeceased by her husband Charles Alison Lindsay; her father Basil Cayen; her mother Betsy Manitoken; her sister Matilda Lafond; her nephew James “Buckaroo” Lafond. The wake service will be held at the kihiw waciston gym on Monday, March 28th, 2022, at 10 AM. The funeral service will be held at the kihiw waciston gym on Monday, March 28th, 2022, at 1 PM. Her Honorary Pallbearers are Pat Johnstone, Harold Greyeyes, Mel Kostiuk, Harry Lafond, and all those who share in Mom’s life. Her active Pallbearers are Bruce Kennedy, Nolan Kenny, Dale V.
