It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Larry Gigi Rossi on October 30th, 2022 after a brief illness. Larry passed away peacefully with his nieces each holding one of his hands.
Larry was born on February 24, 1948 in Grand Forks, BC. He graduated with a Diploma in Electrical – Electronics Technology from Selkirk College in 1969 and went on to work as a Systems Control Operator at West Kootenay Power/Fortis for over 40 years.
Larry is predeceased by his parents, Gigi and Anna Rossi, wife Myra (Hebert) and brothers-in-law, Deno Benetton, Roy Andrew and Bob Daniels.
Larry is survived by his sister, Joy Benetton; nieces Cindy Emery (Randy), Kim Benetton (Scott); great-nieces, Nicole and Sara (Cole) and Brooks; friend Wendy; sisters-in-law, Julie Andrew and Shirley Daniels (Peter); nieces Cheryl Fofonoff and Delaine Pellegrin; nephews Troy Andrew and Dale Daniels and their families.
Larry loved spending time with his Dad (best friend) at the cabin in the North Fork where they hunted with the boys, fished, worked on various projects, played morra and drank 10 drops or so. He had an amazing garden and enjoyed dabbling in the stock market.
Larry didn’t want a funeral so his immediate family will have a private graveside gathering (and 10 drops in his honour) in the spring. Bill Clark of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.
