Keith Howell
It is with deep sadness that the family of Keith Howell (age 66) of
Upper Kingsclear, NB announce his unexpected passing at his home on
November 15th, 2022. Born in Upper Kingsclear to the late Herbert and
Frances Howell, Keith is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Jane
and his three children, Sally Fraser (Neale), Cody (Maryse) and Kate
(Thibaud). He also leaves behind seven siblings Beth Grass (late
Larry), Wendy Hood (late Alton), Lorna Donahue (Leon), Charles
(Susan), Paul (late Carol Joy), Donna Newton (Russ) and Robert
(Elaine) as well as his seven grandchildren, Chloe, Chaz, Charity,
Arya, Lily, Logan and Zara.
His passion for exploring and independence, coupled with his love for
the open road, was the driving force behind the 36 years he spent as
the president and founder of Sure Grip Hand Controls. From humble
beginnings in his garage in 1986 to being the largest provider of
adaptive driving aids in North America, Keith was the heart and soul
of a company which has impacted lives and broken down barriers to
independence across the world.
Keith was also an unapologetic servant of Jesus Christ, supporting
various ministries around the world. From building schools in Peru and
Kenya to churches in The Dominican Republic, Keith found great joy in
supporting the Lords work whenever the opportunity arose. He was also
a founding member of IAM Ministries, which seeks to reach out to those
who are often overlooked and marginalized.
A time of visitation will be held at Faith Baptist Church, 525 New
Maryland Highway, New Maryland on Monday, November 21, 2022 at 11:00am
which will be followed by a celebration of life at 2:00pm with Pastor
Larry Matthews and Pastor Paul Ross officiating. A reception at the
church will follow the service.
