It is with profound sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of John Sidney Farrell, on June 18th, 2022 at the age of 95.
Born in North Arm LaPoile, Newfoundland, he was the son of the late Josiah and Julia (Stone) Farrell.
John was preceded by his beloved wife Jean (Billard), daughter and son in law Barbara and Brian LePage, 2 brothers and 6 sisters.
He is survived by his son Melvin (Mary) Farrell, his 4 grandchildren Lexie, Kirk, Kristopher, Patrick, and 3 great- grandchildren Sydney, Reid, and Liam. Better known to many as Uncle Jack, he is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
We would like to thank the staff at the Crosswinds senior home for the dedicated care over the last few years.
There will be no visitation or funeral services at this time. Interment will be at a later date in Grand Bruit, Newfoundland.
Respecting John’s wishes, cremation has taken place at the Humber Valley Crematorium and Memorialization in Pasadena, NL.
Funeral arrangements has been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home in Stephenville Crossing, NL
