It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Hickey announce his passing on June 17th, 2022, at Labrador Grenfell Health Long Term Care at the age of 85 years. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife, Ada Hickey; children: Floyd (Mary), Brenda (Sam), and Craig (Jossee); granddaughter Elizabeth; great-granddaughters Ava and Selina; and brothers: Jim (Cecilia), Lar (Geraldine), Bill (Joan), and Simon (Elsie) as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. John was predeceased by his parents, Simon and Selina Hickey, brother David Hickey and sister Bridgette Kelly.
Keeping with John’s wishes, cremation will be taking place. There will be a small funeral service for family and close friends in the near future. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Labrador Grenfell Health Long Term Care Facility.
