Passed away, in Beaconsfield, on August 15, 2022, John Joseph Rowen, aged 94 years. Beloved husband of the late Aline Quenneville. John is survived by his sister Margaret (Moore). Proud and loving father of Elyse (Paul), Joanne (late David), and Michael (Edith). Devoted grandfather to Serena (James), Whitney (Justin), Madeleine (Juliana), Melanie (Antoine), Fraser (Alexandre) and Brandon (Sabrina) and great grandfather to Daniel, Rowen, Neve and Conor. Will be sadly missed by extended family and friends. John loved to travel and to meet people, and will be remembered for his inimitable ‘John Rowen’ stories. Whether fly fishing for salmon, skiing in the Laurentians or swimming in Saint-Anicet, he was happiest spending time with family and friends. A career insurance man, John rose to become President of the Prudential Assurance Company of England (Canada). A private service will be held. Père très aimant de Elyse (Paul), Joanne (feu David) et Michael (Edith), grand-père dévoué de Serena (James), Whitney (Justin), Madeleine (Juliana), Mélanie (Antoine), Fraser (Alexandre) et Brandon (Sabrina) et arrière-grand-père de Daniel, Rowen, Neve et Conor. Il restera gravé dans la mémoire de plusieurs parents et amis. John aimait voyager et rencontrer les gens et on se souviendra longtemps des inimitables histoires de ”John Rowen”. Il adorait passer du temps en famille et avec les amis que ce soit à la pêche au saumon, en ski dans les Laurentides ou à la baignade à Saint-Anicet. Il a fait sa carrière dans le domaine de l’assurance jusqu’à atteindre le rang de Président de la compagnie d’Assurance La Prudentielle d’Angleterre (Canada). Les funérailles seront privées.
