Obituary
It is with profound sadness we announce the sudden passing of John Allan Belding, which occurred on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at his home. Born in Saint John, on December 6, 1959, he was the son of the late Edgar “Bud” and Loretta Belding.
John was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, and snowmobiling, but his biggest passion was the restoration of muscle cars and trucks. Even when he was young, he was known as a “hoarder of car parts”. John worked for numerous years for Canada Post and then moved on to founding and managing Manchester Construction, with the help of his wife Anne, for 16 years.
John is survived by his loving wife, of 30 years, Anne; sons Ryan and Bud; daughters Ashley and Erika; brother Troy; sisters Kim, Trudi, and Sher; as well as six grandchildren, one great-grandson, and birth mother Gloria Perry. He will be missed by all his car buddies.
Aside from his parents, John was predeceased by his birth father Bucky (Doreen) Atwood.
The family would like to extend a special thanks the first responders and the fire and police departments for their hard work and compassion through this difficult time.
Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (646-2424). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, with a procession leaving from the funeral home at 10:00 AM. For those who wish, donations in John’s memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of John Allan Belding December 6 1959 September 1 2022 (age 62)..
